# FAQ
All the basics questions you need are here.
## What is WiiMart Old Banner?
Remember the Wii Shop Channel with it's old banner from 2006-2007? Yeah well WiiMart has that.
## I have \*this\* error? What should I do?
Look it up on our (in WIP) error checking tool! https://wiimart.org/errors or ask in #support on our [discord server!](https://discord.gg/wiimart)
## Why did the gift options disappear?
Sadly WiiLink does not approve of it and asked us to take it down. We nicely did. Please, do not harass WiiLink's staff or our staff about it or you will not be allowed on our server again (Banning your Wii's IP).
## Do I need real money to buy WiiPoints?
Absolutely not! Well, you will "purchase" them but no debit/credit card will actually be used. It's purely for nostalgia and trying to replicate Nintendo's structure to avoid errors.
## How do I change the region?
In WiiMart, go to Settings and Features > (You will need to scroll down) Change Region > Select your region
## My title says "This channel can't be used." or just has a black screen!
Repeat Step 1 through Step 6 in any console guide (you should not have this error in Dolphin.)
## How do I uninstall WiiMart?
To uninstall WiiMart, use either of these guides:

## How is the shop doing?
It's been doing great so far! Every (or almost) features of the channel has been used.
## When is \*this\* feature gonna be added?
The developpers of the project are updating the project slowly but surely.
## Will there be an option to switch out the 'WiiMart' name back to 'Wii Shop Channel'?
Of course! It will be in settings, just be patient.
## What information is stored when using WiiMart?
The web server stores IP addresses of those that connect to it, common with web servers. Wii console serial numbers are stored, in the SOAP database with encryption.

# Dolphin Emulator
This guide will be for **Dolphin** users!
> [!CAUTION]
> A NAND backup is required. Dolphin generated NANDs were proven unsuccessful with WiiMart. To get a NAND backup, follow [this guide](/guide/others/nand_backup.md).
## Requirements
- NAND Backup
- [WiiMart](https://wiimart.org/wad/WiiMart.wad) or [WiiMart with Old Banner](https://wiimart.org/wad/WiiMartOB.wad)
1. After getting your NAND backup, copy the `nand.bin` inside your desktop.
2. Open Dolphin Emulator.
3. On the menu bar, go to Tools > Manage NAND > Import BootMii NAND Backup.
4. A window of your file manager (eg. Finder, Explorer) should appear.
5. Select the `nand.bin` inside your Desktop.
6. The importing process should begin.
7. Once finished, go back to Tools > Install WAD
8. Select your WiiMart WAD.
9. Once installed, you can boot up your (v)Wii system menu and Voila!

# vWii
This guide will be for **vWii** users! *(aka Wii U)*
## Pre-requisites:

## SD Card
On your SD Card, there are a few files you need to put. Such as the wads for our patched IOS 56 and WiiMart.
1. First, download Priiloader Installer and Load Priiloader. Priiloader is required to make installed apps work.
2. On your SD Card, go to your `apps` folder and drag and drop Yet Another Wad Manager Mod Mii Edition (YAWM Mod Mii Edition); Priiloader Installer and Load Priiloader.
3. Still on your SD Card, create a folder called "wads" if it doesn't already exists. Then, drag and drop the patched IOS56 and WiiMart wads.
4. Safely eject the SD Card and put it back in your console
> [!WARNING]
> If you have a macOS installation, STOP!! There is a Terminal command you need to run to "clean" your SD Card from files called "Archive Bits". They are problematic in terms of Homebrew. In your terminal, simply run the command `dot_clean /Volumes/[Your SD Card's name]` and wait for the process to be finished. Then, you can put the SD Card back in your console.
## Wii U (vWii)
1. Hold + while booting into Aroma or Tiramisu.
2. Select "vWii Homebrew Channel"
3. Once you're in the Homebrew Channel, search for "Priiloader Installer" then load the app
4. Install Priiloader by pressing A
5. Go back to the Homebrew Channel and Load Priiloader.
6. Go to System Menu Hacks and enable the `Region Free EVERYTHING` hack, `Permanent vWii settings`, `Wii System Settings via Options Button` and `Always enable WiiConnect24 on boot`.
7. Go all the way down and save settings. Go to System Menu.
8. Once in the vWii System Menu, go to settings. You will normally see a page that **ISN'T** the save's page. This is normal.
9. Go left once, go to WiiConnect24 and enable it if it isn't already enabled. Then, go back and accept the User agreements.
10. Once you're back to the System Menu, go to the Homebrew Launcher.
11. Once in the Homebrew Launcher, go to YAWM ModMii Edition
12. Press A to select the front SD Card slot. Select `WiiMart.wad`, mark it for installation and repeat for `IOS56(vWii).wad`
> [!NOTE]
> If you get error -1022 or -1029 on WiiMart.wad, you need to mark it for uninstallation then reinstall it. This is totally normal.
13. Go back to the main menu and press HOME (it says it will restart your "wii" but it actually brings you back to the HBC)
14. Press HOME again and go back to System Menu.
15. Open the Wii Shop Channel and it will be WiiMart!

## Wii
Once arrived on your Wii's menu,
1. Go to the Homebrew Channel.
2. Go to "Priiloader Installer"

4. After it's installed, you should normally go back to the Homebrew Channel. After you arrived in the HBC[^2],launch "Load Priiloader". Wait a bit until you see this: <br> <br>

5. Go down with your Wii Remote until you go to "System Menu Hacks"
6. Press A, go to "Region Free EVERYTHING", press A again, go all the way down to "save settings", wait a bit until it says "settings saved", press B and go back the HBC. <br>
7. Go to YAWM ModMii Edition and launch it
8. Press the A button, then press on + to select our WADs to mark them as installation. <br>
> [!WARNING]
> If you get error -1022 or -1029 on WiiMart.wad, this is normal! Mark WiiMart for uninstallation with the - button and reinstall it.
10. Go back to the main menu, press the HOME button to restart your Wii.
11. Once in the HBC, press the Home button once again and select "Back to System Menu"
12. Once you arrived on the System Menu, you can open the Wii Shop Channel and you will get onto WiiMart!

# NAND backup
This guide will be a guide on how to get your NAND Backup for Dolphin Emulator!

## [Wii](#wii)
1. Install BootMii if not already installed.
2. Boot to BootMii or use the Homebrew Launcher
> [!NOTE]
> Your WiiMote will **NOT** connect, you will need to use either a GameCube controller plugged into port 1 or use the Power button and Reset button to navigate. POWER is to move, RESET is to select and choose
3. In BootMii, go to the gear icon.
4. Select the first icon to the left.
5. A NAND backup will start. Please wait.
6. Once BootMii finished dumping the NAND and verifying it, press the back button (the one with an arrow)
7. Go to the Wii Menu and shutdown the console.
## [Wii U / vWii](#wii-u--vwii)
1. Install Dump Mii NAND from https://oscwii.org/library/app/DmpMiNND
2. In the Homebrew Channel, open Dump Mii NAND and press A if prompted.
3. Once it finished, press HOME or B to go back to the Homebrew Channel if it doesn't automatically
4. Shutdown the console.

## PC Side
After the downloaded WADs, drag and drop them to the wads folder on your SD Card.
## Wii / Wii U Side
1. Boot your console to the Wii Menu.
2. Go to the Homebrew Launcher
3. Load Yet Another WAD Manager ModMii Edition (YAWMModMii Edition)
4. Select your Wii SD Card.
5. Install both of the WADs. WiiMart will be overwritten and replaced by the original Wii Shop Channel for your console.
